WaveStar 2.0
The WaveStar is based on our patent for “one-hand control for single-skin kites”, which was registered in 2017 and has been further developed for foilboarding and street kiting.
- the WaveStar has an aspect ratio of 2.5 and is suitable for downwind foiling and street kiting,
- the WS has an effective depower function and can be retracted in flight while foilboarding,
- the sailcloth is coated on both sides with polyurethane (salt water repellent),
- Inside the leading edge there is a drainage for water drainage,
- a retraction line (patent pending) allows the kite to be relaunched after a crash onto the water surface,
- no additional profile ribs due to reinforcements with nylon and carbon rods minimize the weight,
- stiff and colored Dyneema® bridle lines are visible from the substrate,
- the patented ERGO bar with an angled shape is joint-friendly and floatable
The ERGO bar and a soft bag with drainage are included in the delivery of the WaveStar.
The usable wind range depends on:
- your own body weight,
- the size of the board with hydrofoil,
- your own kite experience
and much more (from the surface & board when street kiting)
Therefore, a higher wind range should be chosen during the learning phase: 2.0 WaveStar 15-34 kn
